Professor Adrian Harvey
Adrian Harvey is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in knee surgery. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a specialist in orthopaedic and trauma surgery.
He trained at University College London. He received specialist training in Switzerland in knee trauma and in Australia in knee surgery and in arthroscopic surgery.
He works as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in both Bournemouth and Poole NHS Trusts. He has been a consultant at Royal Bournemouth Hospital for 15 years. He is the senior knee surgeon at Bournemouth.
He specialises in all aspects of knee surgery, including replacement surgery and arthroscopic knee surgery. He has performed over 2000 ACL reconstructions. 2000 knee replacements including uni-knee replacements.
He is involved in the development of new techniques in both replacement and arthroscopic knee surgery.
He was a Surgical Tutor for the Royal College of Surgeons involved in the training of surgeons in arthroscopic knee surgery and in knee replacement surgery for arthritis.
He has published a variety of papers relating to knee surgery.
He is a Visiting Professor in the Engineering Department at Bournemouth University.
